ROLF.. getting late.. as a night cap Patrick, try the last paragraph quoted from the meeting with Hasimoto and Omi. From Yahoo..

"Omi and Hashimoto also discussed tax rebates aimed at achieving certain policy objectives and Omi said he had told the prime minister it was important to widen tax cuts for start-up businesses and to
consider cuts in taxes on investments.

Japan is currently preparing a 16 trillion yen package of economic stimulus steps aimed at boosting its stagnant economy.

''I would like to keep in close contact with the prime minister and to wrap up this economic package under his leadership,'' Omi said.

''If the 16 trillion yen package with its 10 trillion yen of fresh fiscal spending is adequately devised, it will have an extreme impact. We should come up with a package packed as tight as a tin of corned
beef,''
he said.

Patrick; Re:" I guess the Fed did not give them enough T-Bills."

And here we have an example of a foreign government, asking our government to chew the ankles off any long bond folks, and they say "no problem."

Don't they work for us? Oh .. I forgot this is the new world order.
