Mav: Well shut my mouth and call me Shirley <ggg> . "Naggrachi" says I'm a dummy to be shorting Iomega and questions whether I've ever made a dime in the market.

Tom G: Help me out here!

Maverick, I don't know about the computer generated ratings, however IOM has had a short rating or sell rating on most of these computer analysis services. I am long and maybe the stock will go up tomorrow, next month or next year. I can wait until it does. In the meantime I'm having fun. Made my 25% last year, in '98 we'll see at the end of the year. Short position

I agree, nothing is positive on the stock. Zip sales may stall when people hear about an alternative SOny drive that might become the next official standard.

Jazz 2 is too expensive and the whole Jazz line is facing tough competition. Clik and Buzz are unimpressive and unproven.

The only thing the company has going is Zip but how far can they go with this?

I have cleared my position and safely nestled any proceeds with the red-hot banks and brokerages. I'm also noticing more bearish sentiments in this thread. Is this bearish or contrarian bull??

Steve

Mav,

Boy, I sure hope Rocky and his country bear jamboree are right for once. I would love to buy IOM after numbers if it can drop to 5 1/2. But I am beginning to doubt it will happen. My order is in. We'll see.

And about that MarketEdge: where were they when IOM was at 33? Short it now? Good grief! They not only waited for the horses to get out before slamming that barn door shut, but they waited for the flies too.
