Richard, Indeed they could have. The TV show, the Moody application that fails to materialize (no date or anything to let people know how long to expect between application and a listing to appear). I am starting to get bad vibes.

< As big as Bre-x >

Speaking of Bre-X and all of the pessimism on the thread lately, I'll just add my humble 2 cents. As I've said before, I've been in this stock for over a year and have watched, less than some, more than most, the decline in its price and in the morale of the stockholders. (Moreso the short-timers) I don't understand so many negative comments about the company. I know how it is to be disappointed with GE. When I got in, rumor was the stock was going to take off almost immediately......it obviously didn't. It's taken the past year's occurrences to build a fairly solid foundation over there and to get into place for the future. Granted, we as stockholders would be very grateful for more abundant and to-the-point information. (On time info would be nice, too.), but we have little or no control over that. All we can do is be patient. Believe me, I've felt just as anxious and disappointed as any of you. But the way I feel is that if you can't stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen. Nobody is forcing anyone to stay in....or to get out for that matter. My basic sentiment is, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all." Oh, and regarding Bre-X and GE being compared...Give the Management more credit. These are well-known, experienced people. They know they're under a magnifying glass, and will be more so once the report comes out. Do you really think they're stupid enough to try to pull a Bre-X? And even if they were, don't you think they'd wait a little longer to try it......?

Now, I don't mean to take the brunt of my comments out on you, Richard. I apologize for it appearing that way. I recognize there are optimistic people on the thread and appreciate the support given to the company by those who are happy to be part of GE one way or the other. I simply direct this post at the negative feeling that I have sensed in many of the recent comments posted.
