On ESV (Ensco International), reporting tomorrow (Thursday). Go for it! (My opinion only.)

Jenna, a few days ago you referred to "the inimitable oil service sector," and listed some stocks in the sector for a watch list.

Let me add ESV. It has had four positive surprises in the past four quarters, is in the 99th percentile for EPS rank, yet has a p/e of only 16.5. Plenty of room there for expansion! I would expect a significant rise after ESV reports tomorrow (it is very unlikely that ESV will disappoint), especially now that the sector as a whole is beginning a small roll in the wake of good earnings reports this week.

I may be prejudiced, since I already own this stock. But I also own CRLBF(reporting Friday), which you mentioned in last week's newsletter, and which is the ONLY stock in the sector that has gotten back to -- and surpassed -- its October highs. BUT it already has a p/e of 40, and is no longer a bargain, compared to other solid stocks in the sector. So I'm not expecting much of a pop.
