Diamond H., Save that Unocal Hat- It will be a collector's item. There is a spot north of Fairbanks along the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline known as the former Sagwon Airfield. In the 70's oil company geologists based out of here in studying the Brooks Range. Anyway, after that a couple of bush air lines used the location mainly to ferry hunters into the the Bush.

They left a big stack of empty aviation fuel drums there. Probably not linked to the oil industry (drums too new- came from the 80's and 90's), but since the Bush Airlines are long since gone, the oil companies as good neighbors have agreed after first good snow this fall to go in on ski- doos and to ski-doo out the barrels out. (Everything north of Fairbanks melts into one giant mosquito infested -bog in the summertime- often 90 degrees in the Interior!).

Then I'll be able to snag you a key chain from SD's...

Sincerely,

Doug F..
