Father God: I unite with my brothers and sisters in Christ in holding this child, Luke, up to you in humbly praying for You to touch him with a complete healing. Lord, please let him be healed both for his benefit and as a way to show the world that You are in charge and that nothing happens in the world that is not within your control. I also pray for Luke's family, that You will send the Holy Spirit to comfort them and to give them the assurance of His presence in their lives. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Lord, I ask you to provide healing for a little boy named Luke. You alone know why he is infected, and what your plan for him may be, and if you truly desire it, Lord, I ask only that your will be done. But if Luke can contribute to your plan as a healthy adult, then Lord I ask that you heal him and protect him as he grows to adulthood, and make him a mighty man of God. If it be your will Lord, Amen.

FWIW..... After two weeks of misery, Luke has finally come back to be in his home with his dad. He is now suffering with some flu, but compared to what he has been through, I'm hoping this will indeed be the last of his experiences in the hospital for some time to come. A sincere thanks to those of you who fervently kept young Luke in your prayers during this touch and go period for he and his family. To our Heavenly Father be all the glory. (and a whopping PTL!! from me)
