N.O., et al; What a challenge for a small investor. I have lost a considerable sum of money for a small fry such as I. Oh no, I am not blaming anybody. But the lessons are brutal in their finality. I read the finest, most credible FA on the TFS thread, yet none of it acknowledges what is some of the most obvious, egregious mismanagement extant in the corporate world! Several of you make price predictions citing analysts' preferences for one accounting sleight of hand over another, finance timing subtleties, etc., yet you choose to overlook some of the most important un-quantitative data staring you in the face. Buchanan, Sr. read admirably well from the statement prepared by an underling, and N.O was gracious, no---correct---to recognise the person who prepared it.(the company NEVER will.) When the Q&A session began, it was right back to obfuscation, embedded parenthetical qualification and miasma. Don't tell me you professionals didn't spot it too! I would not believe it! Maybe it is a pet peeve of mine which would better go unspoken since you folks seem to prefer doing battle with balance sheets and production projections.
There are just two final points. The Q's were from analysts and money managers; the answers left every questioner obviously disappointed. Either the question went unanswered by virtue of the answer missing its mark or by virtue of its eminently disappointing truth. Lastly, and by no means the least of the reasons I am divesting myself of even my last few thousand shares (the shares I had hoped to just kinda sandbag with) is the intelligence just shared with the thread by N.O. that his meeting with Liz was summarily cancelled. It reeks of vindictiveness. It reeks of arbitrariness. It reeks! The troubling part is that to this country lad it would seem a far better course of action for Mr B to be trying to win him over with kindness! I mean, what could it cost and what could it hurt to have N.O. on his side? Hell, I'm not too smart; but I'm at least that smart!
Sign me: sadder, poorer, and wiser,
Frank
