The issue regarding the dissemination, inadvertent or no, of
information contained within Bob Brinker's subscriber funded
"Marketimer" newsletter in this forum has been with us since the
genesis of this thread. Naturally, it is a matter of vital importance
to subscribers and to Brinker himself that the latter's copyrighted
printed matter, especially, material constituting the heart and soul
of his publication not be broadcast across this forum. As mentioned
heretofore, such a practise would surely sound the death knell not
only for Brinker's highly valued newsletter but also for this topic,
as well. Thus far, with rare exceptions, the good fellows and ladies
of this thread have been models of gracious restraint in this regard.
Verily, it could be argued that this latest "incident" has raised the
level of awareness of participants here and may have minimized
more serious lapses of confidentiality in future. That being said, the
current circumstance notwithstanding, Dean Carroll has become a
valued and frequent contributor who brings certain unique perspec-
tives to our forum and can always be counted on for well-written,
cogent, witty, and courteous commentaries. I would like to think that
he has been sufficiently and deservedly chastised and that he now
fully understands the sensitivity of this matter vis a vis "Marketimer"
subscribers. As such, I would hope that he remains within the fold.
