I've noticed an odd phenomenon. Sometimes when analysts lower earnings estimates,it's easier for the company to "beat the street." The bar is lower. The perception is that it's a good earnings report, and the stock climbs. Of course, sometime the revise down and the stock declines. If I could only figure out why a some stocks go up and some down as a result of downwardly revised earnings. Any education on this is greatly appreciated!
