Tuesday April 14, 7:50 am Eastern Time Company Press Release SAP AG First Quarter Revenues Increase Strongly WALLDORF, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 14, 1998--SAP AG, the world's leading provider of client/server business applications, today announced that its revenues for the first quarter of 1998 increased strongly. Preliminary figures show that revenue for the first quarter was higher than expected, rising by 62% over the same period in 1997. Costs in the first quarter rose at a similar rate. Growth in the quarter was due to continued demand for enterprise software solutions and the strength of key currencies against the deutsche mark. Full financial highlights for the 1998 first quarter will be released on April 21, 1998.
