: Wed, 29 Apr 1998 14:24:07 -0400 From: online.customer.response@gte.com Subject: GTE ADSL Availability Tracking Number: 980415-89-1 To: jaylowe@lpt.com Thank you for your interest in GTE's upcoming DSL services. GTE will begin deployment of DSL in June, 1998 to selected serving offices in and around Redmond. Actual availability to you depends on whether your are served by a DSL equipped office, the distance of your line from that office (less than 3 cable miles is the current technological limit), and other factors such as the condition of your line. Prior to ordering, GTE will need to pre-qualify your line to determine eligibility for service. An availability lookup based on your area code and the 1st 3 digits of your phone number will be implemented on www.gte.com shortly after our June rollout. Please check back soon on the GTE web site for up to date availability in your specific area. Specific information on how to order GTE DSL service will also be provided you on the web page. We plan on offering a variety of bandwidth options ranging from 256K downstream to 1.5Mbps downstream, depending on your usage needs. The cost will range from \$30 to \$250 per month, depending on the bandwidth package you select and your term and volume commitment. GTE offers the option to lease the modem at \$12 to \$14 per month. Alternatively, you can also purchase the modem at around \$300. Additional installation/setup fees will apply. These charges do not include internet connectivity. Again, thank you for your interest and we look forward to providing you excellent service soon.
