"They are Stratacom switches from Cisco" ATT's Frank Ianna says of the 145 fram relay nodes (switches), over 100 were downed by this problem. The failure was caused by an exchange between 2 switches. They have isolated the location of the 2 switches, but will not release the location. "They are Stratacom switches from Cisco". ATT is working harder on getting the system back up and running than on finding the specific problem with the switches. They are giving FREE service on frame relay "until we have found the problem, corrected it, and can assure the customers that the problem will never occur again."
