Gary,
How the respective companies (CISCO & ASCEND) respond to this
crisis, will be most important to AT&T , in my opinion.

If anybody responds with the typical "not my job/equipment",
than he should suffer the consequences.

MM

Re: AT&T Problems

Thread....
ATT's frame relay network is based entirely on Stratacom switches.
Back in 1996, ATT temporarily installed a few Cascade switches that were used to provide frame/ATM interworking (at the time Stratacom switches were not capable of providing this feature). When Stratacom switches finally provided support for frame/ATM interworking in 2H97,
the Cascade switches were decommissioned.

ATT's frame network is completely separate from their IP/ATM network, which is built solely on Ascend/CSCC switches (although like the frame network, the IP/ATM network uses Cisco routers at the edge).

So, any problems with ATT's frame network appears to be restricted to
Stratacom product & not related to Ascend.
