BCOM's recently acquired Rancho Vista National Bank is lauded in today's San Diego Union-Tribune Currents & Arts featured story "At Your Service" by staff writer R.J. Ignetzi. In response to the paper's asking readers to send in their nominees for exceptional customer service, one letter writer submitted the following: ... Irene Adler of Carlsbad thought the "good old days" of personalized neighborhood banking were gone forever until she discovered Rancho Vista National Bank in Carlsbad. Not only does bank officer Nancy Reyes transfer Adler's funds over the phone, but Reyes also walks across the street to a competing bank and deposits Adler's money into an account she has there.. "The bank ha coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and assorted cookies, candies, etc., when you come in," Adler wrote. "Everyone greets you and they even have dog biscuits for my pet when I visit. In this day and age of cold bank personnel and exorbitant fees, I applaud Rancho Vista National Bank." Sounds like a pretty neat bank to go to, especially if you have to take the dog with you <g>.
