Am doing some checking on something and ran across the following link which, while only slightly related to the topic at hand, is an awfully interesting read:

reasonmag.com

I'm looking around to see what percentage ownership of a company must be in a "minority" for a company to qualify for preferential treatment. Anyone know off the top of their head?

Also, I haven't been keeping track, but hasn't there been a movement in this country to get rid of preferential treatment of minorities? If so, is that still on track? I know that California has made it a legal matter with Proposition 209 a while back.

Sure hope yesterday's press release isn't the only newsworthy event of the year so far.
