Visited Black Hawk area and the new Lodge Casino on March 27, one month ago. Also went into the Gilpin and others. The Lodge looks huge but of course, it was not completed. Looks to me like the big casinos down there at the south end will suck up a lot of the biz. I think it will create a "strip" type atmoshphere where people will hang out and casino hop, much as they may do up near Bullwhackers and Gilpin now. Thank God they now own the Gilpin outright, no more funny profit and loss sales numbers.
