A large advertisement (with graphic of Jesus on the cross)in the Dallas Morning News on Good Friday:

"IT'S FRIDAY, BUT...

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Jesus Christ took OUR sin upon Himself and died on the cross of Calvary. He gave His life, the perfect sacrifice, so that we could be brought back into relationship with God.

...SUNDAY'S COMING!!"

Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead - victorious over sin and its consequences! He is now reigning in heaven and in the hearts of all who trust Him for salvation. We rejoice in His amazing love and grace and forgiveness! By His death, He paid the price for our sin. Because of His resurrection, whoever accepts Him as Lord will have eternal life.

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Roman 10:9-10

Weir's Furniture Village (in very small type)

Such an open testament from businesses is very rare today (even in the Bible belt!) Many are afraid of the "consequences" - offending others, lost business from other religions, etc. Even the most devout of business owners typically refrains from openly showing any religious preference.

Lord, thank you for businesses like Weir's, companies that are not afraid to show You praise, companies that place You at the center of things, companies that share Your message.

Please pray that many other firms become unafraid to bring God into our daily lives!

p.s. I don't work for Weir's. In fact, I've never been there. They will certainly get the first look when I need furniture in the future, though!
