Please join, everyone here will make you very welcome. This thread is one of the best. In a word, no. There is nothing specific you can do to get a little advance notice, and it would be inappropriate for anyone directly related to the company to give it to you. However, the very essence of a thread like this is to first provide a forum for reasoned debate of moot issues, and then to allow those of us who really attempt to care and understand our stocks to share the occasional crumb of info that one of us can dig out from any of many sources. Some people post news from other related sources, some people nag the heck out of the company staff, some people visit the offices, some people read stock newsletters, and some just speculate on possibilities, and so on. Together, the members of the thread make up a substantial investigative body, with a lot of "eyes and ears" and a pretty good b.s. meter. Welcome to SI!
