I had reshorted again at 98 1/4 and 99 3/16. Covered one of them just now. I'm now thinking hard about accumulating shorts in CDNow (CDNW) instead of AMZN, because no matter how overpriced AMZN is, CDNW looks so much worse.

Market cap approaching $600 million, last quarter's (xmas) sales less than $10 million, still losing money, and with tons of competition (Amazon.com, Borders, K-Tel) all opening music stores. It simply boggles the mind. So I've shorted 200 shares at 36 5/8 and plan on enlarging that significantly if it moves up, esp after earnings.

Sorry, Tom. Clearly I don't know where the top is. How's today sound? BTW, it did collapse due to the lock-up ending - it just did it before hand. 66 to 44, and that was within two weeks after making a new high on "buy the dip day" in Oct. A similar move here would take it back to the mid-60s.

So, what kind of sales do you think it would take for all the "investors" out there to be pleasantly surprised come 4/23? Forget the estimates - they probably low-balled the revenue number anyway like they did on YHOO.

Not that it matters...<g>

Bob

How many more Billions do you think AMZN will tack
on next week?
