except not in this situation ...Andy grove is still there

and dont forget.....he has a certain rep....and I dont think the guy will want to trash him.... wasnt he some kind of "man of the year" type of thing....like on Time or something...

If this were Citibank in the 1980's, or almost any other situation, I would agree. The difference here is that Grove is still Chairman at INTC (and I believe he and Barrett are good friends). I don't think Grove will want to fall on the sword just to make Barrett look better.

Doesn't look like it will be played that way ..

They SHOULD have .. instead what (looks to me like) they did was to stuff the channel again.

(Pretty soon, the only time chips will be sold will be the last week of quarters )

All eyes will be directed to the new line of products and any other good news looking forward they can pump out.

The question is will the "good news" be bought again.
