Which group had the song "Puttin' out fires with gasoline..." That's what the shorts are doing now and they are getting toasted. INTC will probably be OK. Even if they warn about upcoming quarters, everyone's estimates have been lowered to allow upside surprises, for lots of stocks. An S&P 500 with a 26 PE and likely earnings growth under 5% is not sustainable. In short, this market is nuts. I'm glad at least to see the day -trade specials like LEAP and IFLY get toasted (though I was happy to pocket my IFLY profits). I'm just dreaming about the day when I short 100 shares each of YHOO, LCOS and XCIT and make a small fortune for doing nothing but watching the tape. It will come.
