OFF TOPIC: I apologize to the thread for bothering many of you with this post, however, since my honesty and integrity has been questioned here, I would like to respond. Earlier, I posted about a new stock that I thought might be of interest to some members of the thread. This stock being Baldwin Technology(BLD). In my original post on the BLD thread I made statements that are not clear and could be misintrepreted. In this post I allude to 13-d's and the fact that certain individuals had BOUGHT shares that represented more than 5% of the company stock. This information was taken by me for the forms filed with the SEC. What I should have stated more clearly was that these forms(13-d) are mandatory filings each year for anyone that has purchased or owns more than 5% of the company stock at the end of each year(12/31). To intrepret my post that these individuals had just BOUGHT these shares is wrong and it is my fault that I didn't make this clear. The facts are that the individuals I mention do OWN the shares in the amounts I give for them. I might add that in a conversation that I had with the company this afternoon, I found out that Mario Gabelli now owns more than the 774,500 shares that I mentioned. He recently bought about 135,000 shares. It should be noted that insititutional investors own nearly 75% of the company. Therefore it should be expected that from time-to-time institutional selling will show up on Bloomberg's or other sources of information. As for the issue of insider selling, the company verified to me that Mr. Smith has sold shares this year. He is the former Chairman of BLD and in February he exercised options and immediately sold the 20,000 shares in the open market. He also gave a charity earlier this year about 76,000 shares. The facts are that he still owns nearly 1M shares of the company stock. I think it safe to assume that since he is now retired that he wouldn't be adding to his holdings and that he is exercising his available options in order to address personal and estate needs.(IMO). Mr. Smith is the ONLY insider to sell stock in the recent months. The bottomline is that I still think BLD is a great company with projected EARNINGS to increase about 40% this year and nearly 50% next year. This is the last that I hope we discuss BLD on the LGND thread.
