Okay, X. I'll try to be calm. Yes, it was always shipped via Airborne to Rochester for repair, every time it was broken. It was never out of my hands for any other reason or at any other time. There isn't even a maid or housekeeper who could have gone near it.

I've never had any kind of G3 till I bought this G3/300 tower after the PB was sent off to Apple on Thursday. Someone switched the motherboard to a G3/250 motherboard, and there are only two possibilities: Apple repair did it or Airborne did it. Since it was clearly marked and insured, someone at Airborne could have done it, and that could account for the day delay. But why would they? They'd be swapping a bad 3400/240 motherboard of mine for a G3/250 motherboard of theirs. With both being still under warranty, what's the point?

It's more likely it was Apple Repair's error. They could have put in the wrong board at the time of the last repair, though I think I'd have noticed a speed increase and I did not. So maybe it was switched after it got to Apple this time? None of this makes any sense to me.

The three people I talked to at Apple so far were intractable about charging me for it. I have visions of suing Apple for the repair and for my hard drive data. They won't give me back my hard drive data! The supervisor isn't supposed to get back to me till up to tomorrow night. I probably won't be able to sleep. Don't they have to give me my data?
