Jim, You got a point on holding to your stocks.. I also don't think now is a time to give up on them, after all we have been through during the last couple of years.

However one note might worth mentioning and that is, even though current PCs are assembled from off-shelf technology; if one decides to spend the extra $2K (at 300MHZ CPU with couple of thousand dollar graphic boards) they can easily boost their performance (from off-shelf technologies) equal if not higher than what SGI can offer.

So the question remains on, either SGI could manufacture high performance graphical PCs under 3K (with all the graphical/video accessories and adequate RAM included).

If they can do that, then they have a decent chance of surviving in the the PC market.
