HI All , Below is an answer to one of my postings from the Investor Guru on his new STS forums hope it is of interest Regards john Welcome Starpoint Goldfields Forum Message 25 Previous From: Investors GURU (INVGURU) To: john mcknight (CANASCONE) UNREAD 1 of 8 Posted: 4/14/98 10:57:00 PM Reply to: 24 Next John, your comment about gold permeating from the vein structures, where we already know there is very high gold content and grade from the Belgium reports, to the surrounding wall rock is very significant. Most penny players don't understand just how significant. Mr. Richards could have gone in and sampled the veins and pulled out fantastic grades, but what would this have told us about the extent of the gold resource? Perhaps there are already samples that are off the charts, but what would we learn from this other than how efficient the VSE is again at quickly halting stocks? The purpose of the last visit was to find out if the gold is disseminated enough to have seeped into the surrounding area. The significance of this could be the difference between selective underground mining of the veins or very low cost open pit mining of a very large deposit. In other words you can get crazy grades from vein structures, but then you still have to answer the question "how much tonnage of ore is there". When you have disseminated seepage you don't get high grades, but more importantly it indicates there is a large resource over a large area. This is what majors would want to know. They want large resources and low cost mining. However, no matter how exciting sts' results might be, the real claim to fame can only come from a drill program. This is the ultimate goal of the company and the objective of these results. If sts just wanted a short term pop in its stock price, all they need to do is sample a few veins. They know the gold is there from the reports. What they want to show is how extensive the gold is in the surrounding area as well. We have increased our investment in STS in the belief that these results could lead to a drill program this year. Reply Forward Delete
