I agree it doesn't make sense. Market's a bubble and this one has to stay up. Revenues declined pretty good, IMO. They decline again and even the idiots on CNBC will be wanting to sell!

Just doesn't make sense!! Ascend beats est. by 1 cent, gives good forward expectation
2nd & 3rd quarter. Drops afterward, not much but still went down.
--
Ascend went from 30 to 40 in 2 weeks, Intel has been at 74 or 148 pre split for almost a year now. You can't look at things as a snap shot, sometimes things rise to the expectations and when they beat or make estimates its not enough to sustain the lofty price. Start comparing PE's and you'll really see some nutty things in this market. Look at Intel's 20, MSFT, Dell, LU, many others >50. Look at S&P 500 >24, so Intel at 20 is trailing the rest of the market.

Sorry you were short this one, good luck.

//gg//

ASND almost doubled from the low of 22 in Dec 97 when it announced the results.

when INTC announced the results, it was barely 15% above the low of the year and lower than what it was in Dec 97.

ASND had a run already in anticipation!
