Kevin,
>>>> "...and yes I am still seeing more and more weaknesses in the market, even in light of the market being up so strong.." What indicators are telling you that the market is weak? <<<<

I follow over 50 indexes and at least 30 on a daily basis. I look at divergences and charts and many technical indicators, so it would be hard to list all of the technical weaknesses I am seeing, but let me list some of them briefly. I will not be able to go into alot of detail only due to the time involve.

1) Simple chart patterns - lower lows, lower highs for certain index
2) cycle time frames shortening
3) down cycles getting longer and more frequent.
4) stochastics getting lower, pattern changing
5) divergences against moving averages getting smaller
6) NEW HIGH/NEW LOW indicator turning down
7) positions of DMI
8) frequency of these negative signs increasing amongst the different indexes

Please understand that my analysis in only slightly based on price fluctuations, but more on time and divergences and cycle lengths. The topping off process has already started and I believe it started about 2-3 weeks ago. that does not mean that certain indexes can not set new highs.

If I had to guess the form of this pullback, at this time I would say it would be closest to a rounding top formation, which normally takes a bit of time, and when the bigger pullback starts many will be fooled since they were buying on the dips since that type of mentality will still be strong. A series of small dips will happen first, and the big pullback will be disguised as just another dip creating another buying opportunity.

As of this time I am still holding to my postion that thru THUR maximum the market could continue up, regardless if it ran 500 points more, which I doubt. The size of the move is not as important to my analysis as time is.
