God ! What if MU does turn bullish, and
44,000,000 shorts start to buy to cover ?
It sure would be some thing to see (g)
Will it happen ?

Larry,
Ok you asked for comments. Yes, I know for a fact that Micron is qualified at least at one major account with PC100. This is positive.
Will PC100 take off? yes, the major OEM's will launch many new systems
using PC100 that will create alot of demand. Will there be compatability issues? yes. Does the suppliers make any more profit,(or rather, do they lose more money than they are right now?), these new systems are really replacing existing 66Mhz systems, so where is the extra growth above the standard 15% yr?
Some are saying the 440BX PC100 will be priced too high and will not be as much in demand as hoped, as we are over-mipped right now.
The memory suppliers like Micron all have put alot of effort getting to this point, and premiums for PC100 vary all over the place but mostly in the 4-10% range. Is this enough extra money to help get Micron back in the black, NO. How long will these premiums last? not very long if supply starts backing up, and it will...
16M and 64M Pricing is continuing to go down......Check any source, its floating down, not dropping like a rock, but its going only in one direction right now. SO, I say, Micron has no potential for turnaround, except for the small pop they may get with the new dumping announcement. Thats when I will buy some puts. I just do not know when they will announce. I love your charts, believe me, but if I could listen in to Appleton discussing strategically when would be the best time to announce this new dumping charge, WHEN?????? Anyone care to take a best guess?
Good trading.

>>Until the SUPPLY=DEMAND equation for the new PC100 SDRAM is
known, we should realize that MU may have a bullish move<<

it also may make a bearish move. the question is valuation. the answer is america sucks at math ;-)
