Vlad... Don't know for sure..but Vivus got approval for the UK in Dec and Astra had to startup with samples, train their sales force, etc,etc...The result was stated in the Conf Call last Thursday...Vivus has only been selling in the UK for the last 4 1/2 week of the 1st qtr. Sales were reported in the first qtr $1.9 million. I believe they sell wholesale to Astra for ~$7.00 a unit. The report on the Conf call is that they have captured 27% of the existing ED market in the Uk in 4 1/2 weeks....I assume the existing market is using the needle...now they are switching to Muse. At $7 a unit it looks like they sold ~270,000 units in 4 1/2 weeks...my guess is that the 2nd qtr sales from the UK come in at about $7-8 million expand the market in the UK. Bottom line Brazil, Argentina, S. Korea and Switzerland may take about the same time to ramp-up you may see a few million in the second qtr...bigger in the 3rd qtr and 4th.. The big question is when will other countries come online...est about 15 new countries this year...United Europe in 1st qtr 1999. When will China,Australia,Canada,Mexico,Russia, etc, etc start ???? Also about $15 million in milestone payments still due as countries are approved.
