JTC: Just came back from a Columbia Business School alumni dinner. Talked to several seasoned WS guys. It looks like everyone knows we are in a bubble environment. the weird thing is that people know it but don't seem to care. This particular fellow I sat next to, a 12 meter sailor, is mainly into 3 mo. treasuries. I talked to him about my short exposure, the Asian crisis, etc. He said: well, what do you expect will happen when people realize that about 40% of the world's GNP is in out of the game?. he said let me know when you start covering so that I start shorting. He expects some big correction in the Fall. Pancho
