Marc,

Compaq and Intel are two high tech bellweather stocks. Either one
will impact the tech stocks as a whole. Compaq's reports will
certainly impact the market, however, I believe Compaq is a very
conservative company with solid fundamentals, its quarterly results
have been adjusted to the lower expectations and hence I believe it
will meet the expectations. Intel's still a lead in wintel market
and its slowest quarter has been just passed with satisfactory
outlook. I think tech stocks still have plenty of rooms to move
forward in '98.

Hey Marc, you follow GVIL, can you explain the News.com story about blaming Apple for GVIL posting a loss this Q? Did Apple cut their OEM contract, or are they saying that declining sales of Macs over the Q were a problem? Or, as your post suggested on the GVIL thread, were they blaming Apple for what were really their own problems?

thanks,

rhet0ric
