The internet has finally reached the frenzy stage. Everything is going straight up. History suggests we're getting really close to the top here, but the last days/weeks leading up to the top are always the most dramatic -- making up as much as 50% of the move to date. This is absulute insanity. But I'm long :)

Hi, Barb.

I really don't know where I will short it. I took it home long. Joe said the CEO will be on right at the bell @ 9:30. That ought to be fun. BTW, the CNBC CEO Effect trade (buy the name pre-appearance for a rip, then short it as soon as the CEO opens his/her mouth)has not worked well with the Internet stocks over the past month.

If the CEO says he expects the web to double sales in the next two years, I guess I'll short it once it gets over $100. You know, next week. :)

What a beautiful value stock this name was - and still is, really. At today's close it still trades at less than 1 times sales. And the in last two Qs the company grew sales 48% over the same period a year ago. So the 5% one year sales growth number masks the big ramp in the last 2 Qs.

The net stocks are still so on fire that they inspire disbelief. I mean, just look at XCIT, SEEK, and GNET today. Huge, huge breakouts. Or blowoffs. Either way, I want to see the apex before I short any of them.

Excerpt from Dow Jones' story today:

<< ...K-Tel Inc. (KTEL), an established player in the music distribution business that announced its entry into the on-line market Thursday, continued to trade higher Tuesday after a 125.5% surge Monday. The stock closed up 6 11/16, or 44.8%, at 21 5/8. An astounding 5.4 million shares changed hands, compared with average daily volume of 31,300. K-Tel hit its second consecutive 52-week high of 22 1/8, well above the 16 1/16 mark set Monday.

'We believe that the market is giving K-Tel the valuation that it's given to other on-line retailers,' Chief Financial Officer Corey Fischer said. 'Management has always believed that the company is undervalued.'... >>

Oh yeah, one more thing:

As I'm sure you know, the float is only 900,000 shares.

Yep, you read it right.

HOO HAH.
