>>>IMFO (f=faulty) you cannot bet on AWRE being the major player in this market because they have no contract exposure to the RBOCs.<<<

May be a bit to soon to rule out any RBOCs...

It should be noted that AWRE's partnership in the ADSL chipsets with Analog Devices (ADI)... gives ADI license to make and sell them. Products are being OR have been tested by major telcos and telco suppliers, including GTE, BellSouth, DSC Communications and RelTec...

What becomes of that is yet to be announced...maybe in the upcoming CC on Thursday.

PledP,
Enjoyed your thoughts and agree. Do note, though, that Aware does not have any DSLAM, but rather depends solely on future partners (along with Ericsson/AFC) to sell the central office mux side....

Bought Orckit and some PAIR after the drop.

Expect to have ADSL service from GTE here in
home in June ... forsee many impacts on work-at-home
situations (VPNs, etc).

Time to position for initial sector growth now, IMO ...
