I would rather see them issue another 1 or 2 million shares to keep the show going until they find the oil. Let the oil grease the machine, not accounting games. If it has to go the Bulletin Boards, so be it.

And if Tracer does a reverse-split, it will still end up on the BB at a fraction of its pre-split value and still won't come back.

Granted, dilution caused by issuing shares will decrease the shareholder value somewhat, but nowhere near to the extent of the pounding we would take from a reverse-split. The volatility caused by a consolidation would simply make it easier for shorts and market manipulators make their money at the expense of those who invested long, hoping for a company that would eventually be producing oil. The professional opportunists will simply get richer while those who invested in good faith continue to languish.

Some of the answers they gave you may be a bit reassuring, but as for the consolidation, I don't buy their rationale one bit.
