Getting a new system sold involves a very great deal more than offering a working demo to an avionics mfgr. Something as new as this will require some years of working it's way through military procurement system at Army, AF, Navy...and that's not easy. It takes capital, and mostly it takes an RFP. Just because some manufacturer can do some new wonderful thing does not mean any of the services want it. I would be much more interested in hearing that MVIS has made a successful series of presentations at a few of the military proving grounds, is under investigation at Edwards or Dayton, and/or been granted a development contract to go forward toward a future production program. Short of those things, my bet would be that commercial applications would be much easier and faster.
