Yahoo thread is very entertaining. They really have been bashing SEMI about the website.Also,Rumors of a new line and takeovers, etc. I am thinking mainly about the fundamentals of the distribution industry. Without the demand and shortages like in the good old days, it will be hard to get rapid growth in EPS.If it just takes getting a new line, why don't JACO, NUHC, etc. get new lines? Semi has cut back weak lines lately. The best thing going for SEMI now is that it had weak profitability in early 97. Hopefully I will keep learning more about this industry. None of the other distribs acted up yesterday . I haven't seen much about things getting better except general forward looking statements from intel, compaq , seagate, etc, for second half.I would like to hear some good news about the future for some distrib. companies. Maybe Bruce will throw out an optimistic statement.
