Barbara, Last year we would have needed a reason for the BK. With all the circuit breakers in place, program trading couldn't do it alone and everyone had cooling off periods to consider market moves. Under the new dicta, the beauty is that the market doesn't even need a reason to tank. Let the fundamental analysts come up with a reason after the fact -- it will be clear then -- just as after the fall technicians will find it clearly foretold on the charts. (To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail) The only sure thing is that market volatility has just increased exponentially. All that said, I think the Asian Flu will be blamed for the tsunami. nero
