I had already checked Tava's website and gotten the address of the Seattle office. Its actually in Lynnwood, north of Seattle but not as far north as the big Boeing installation. Tava's number is not in the
phone book (business listing after the individual phone listings, I wouldn't know where to look in the yellow pages but a few tries weren't succesful). I will try to get out there to look it over (unless somebody else preceeds me). I guess the office is a small, new operation.
I have owned a bit of Tava since mid '97. The original story I read then indicated
that Topro (tava's sire) was servicing other things, and ran across the Y2K problem
and diverted some of its (his?) effort to work on that (Including mainframes? desktops? etc). I would like to know how widely Tava is involved in these several areas. Also how are they doing aquiring programmers who will be needed on many or most installations. Yesterday someone recommended a new (Cobol) Y2K firm. I looked them up, and they have 7 employees. Probably not enough to solve the whole problem. The giddy excitement on this thread warms my heart but can Tava make it real? I hope so. Allen
