Just a few notes.

japan has reversed the Rx and Tx frequencies same as they did for AMPS, so don;t expect Qualcomm to sell handsets into this market, although they will sell ASICS.

Also, I think that it really starts rollout in the summer of this year with full deployment in april 99.

I think if you search back in Moto annoucements you will find they signed a $1B contract about a year ago for the infrastructure with IDO and DDI.

Not sure why japan has been so quiet on this rollout, but it is coming like a steamroller.

I don't know Ramsey . Seems like the media thrives on doom and gloom. As long as we all scratch around sources on the web we can share what we think is news.
