Then trend the historical prices of the software that you can't download for free and adjust them for inflation. If all the useful software is free then why are all those people standing in line at CompUSA with their credit-cards out? Profit margins of 30%+ do not come from download-able widgets or timed-to-die beta versions. I could not find the absolutely free download of Word98; do you have the link handy? Cheers, Norm
