From Briefing.com's 10:25 Ticker: 10:25 ET Dow -24, Nasdaq +12, S&P -3.40: The future is search engines...Intel's revenues are dropping and Compaq can't make a profit, but those existing PC's out there are signing on to the Internet to check out Yahoo (YHOO) +3, Excite (XCIT) +4 1/2, and Infoseek (SEEK) +4 7/8...bandwidth and content is the key, not plastic boxes with semiconductors that go down in price...in fact, Intel today announces their new chip - aimed at the low priced market geared for easy Internet access rather than big-time power...overall market is weakening as the focus remains on the tech stocks. Need I say more?
