Preliminary specifications for the first AcerPower desktop systems powered by Intel Celeron processors will include the following: Robust performance will be delivered via a 266MHz, Intel Celeron processor that provides ample processing power to run typical day-to-day business applications; Graphics will be delivered through an integrated 4MB SGRAM AGP graphics accelerator solution, proficient at running today's intense multimedia and presentation applications; Ethernet connectivity solutions will allow the new AcerPower systems to be mass deployed as a low total cost of ownership, thin-client solution; A minimum of 3.5GB hard drive space will provide generous local storage; Multimedia applications will run smoothly through a series of multimedia peripherals, including a 32X (maximum) CD-ROM drive and 16-bit stereo sound solution. Pricing and Availability AcerPower desktops powered by Intel Celeron processors will ship in the second quarter of 1998. Pricing is not available at press time.
