Dave,

I was expecting rev growth around 5-7% versus the reported slight increase; gross margins did a bit better than I expected, but the effect of full taxes I overlooked, so instead of getting 10 cents or so as I expected, came in at 7 cents.

Odwalla reported last week. Their revenue was 14,192,000 versus 11,256,000. Fresh should have gained some market share but they didn't. At the micro-scale, FRSH consistently fails to keep their section in the local Whole Foods adequately stocked. The local WFMI person in charge of the juice section recently told me that the FRSH distributor has been repeatedly asked to do better, but with no change.

Bottom line, I'm outa here, although I still like and will continue to purchase FRSH's products and think FRSH could do very well under new ownership and/or aggressive management. Also an adjustment in the very fat salaries top management is getting would help too, IMO.

If a buyout is really in progress, this should provide a floor on the stock price against sellers.
