***MILESTONE***

NO BEARDSTOWN LADIES HERE:

This portfolio is now up more than 50%. In fact, after today's close it was up 52%. Let's be clear on this: the AVERAGE STOCK in this portfolio of 20 stocks went up 52% in about 10 weeks. Great picks? Sure, I hope. Must also mean we will look back on this period and marvel. Will it continue? Maybe. But the whole thing looks VERY frothy.

In any case I am proud of this result. It didn't come about through picking a few longshots...if so the great results would be balanced out by 10 mediocre ones. And although we are heavily weighted in internet and electronic commerce, it isn't a sector play. There are all sorts of stocks in here. So all the more impressive. ROAR ON! (???????????????)

OK, so let me trade on this success with another sermon.

Can people not tell the difference between friends discussing promising companies and hypesters just coming on and 'dumping' their hot picks on these threads?

Maybe your stock is doing well but please come to us in the spirit of sharing and learning. It's a roaring bull market so big deal if you found a company with good prospects. Share, don't shout. End of sermon.

I am of course referring to Mr. Cici in this particular instance.

Hi White Shoes, what's impressed me with MPACT is their vision and execution - they are building a global presence with some pretty impressive clients and partners. While I was very pleased with the Compaq announcement in the business-to-consumer area of e-commerce, I'm even more bullish on their long range success in the business-to-business sector. Still, if the Mondex card takes off, we could be in for some healthy consumer-based revenues year after year.

As for its stock price, it seems to have settled around $7 pending further developments. I don't trust myself on short term stock prices so I can't provide any opinion there. But as you know already, a Nasdaq listing seems like a sure bet this year and that should increase exposure in the US, Canada and abroad. It would seem to me that some time in the not too distant future, some sort of partnership with a major international networking, telecom or IT player would be a natural.

Incidentally, if you don't have one already, I very highly recommend getting their annual report.
