Further On SEEK...

* The WBS deal is good for a variety of reasons. It
builds a much-needed community component for SEEK which
in turn feeds page-views and length of site visits which
in turn is really, really cool for advertisers. (See
my SI SEEK thread post #3550, if you're bored.)

* The WBS deal also takes some of the pressure off
of SEEK's negotiations with NSCP. In fact, I think
this whole announcement sends a signal to NSCP: "we
can buy eyeballs and we don't HAVE to have you to
be viable." Now, SEEK can sit and negotiate from
a position of greater strength... IMHO, of course.

* SEEK's spate of news this week is VERY INTERESTING
as a run-up to its earnings release. XCIT announces
tomorrow, right? SEEK's gotta a surprise for the Street.
I think it's a fairly large surprise.

* In sum, a rather brilliant investment decision,
Mr. Lindt...

Best Regards,
