Patrick,

Just heard on CNBC that 80% of the announcements so far have been positive surprises.

We all realise that the companies forwarned, reducing expectations to levels more easily achieved or to surpass. But we also have to keep in mind that the market have been trading on these lowered expectations, and now that they appear to be reached or exceeded by the majority, does that mean that the fundamentals have changed.

If earnings were not reduced as it was this quarter and the earnings were exceeded at these levels, I would feel comfortable to say that the fundamentals have changed. I just dont know now.

this is an important issue for me so I can determine if the fundamentals/news will override the technicals.
