Whoever said a CD was safe? note the following clip on CD (Cendant)- "Shares in Cendant Corp., the business and travel services giant created four months go with the $11 billion merger of CUC International Inc. and HFS Corp., fell to $26 from $36 on news late Wednesday that there would be financial restatements due to potential accounting irregularities at the old CUC, traders said." full article at: biz.yahoo.com hmmm, i smell vultures circling on this one tomorrow. I've been following CD for a while, not owning it. Looked at chart before i read this article and thought that CD under 30 would be a good buy. Looks like will get the chance. Gary, thanks for the idea on MRVC, i did not take advantage of its dip. HOpe it is working for you. Keep them ideas coming, that is what makes this thread work. Larrry
