albert you need to think BIG! You can learn a lot from the Humble One. So listen up:

Margin, I would not dream to live without it. It has given me a lot of punch over the years. About a 40% CAGR over the last 8 years. That is not really too good as plain investing in Intel has given investors 42% CAGR over the last 10 years, but I didn't see the Intel light until early summer of 1995.

I gladly fess up to buying xxK shares of Intel at 97.94 on 8/5/97. So what's the big deal? So I lost 6% for 1997, big deal!

The important thing is to make gains, and my greediness paid off well in 1996 with a 151% portfolio gain, (6% loss for 1997) and an estimated 1998 gain of 235%.

The estimate for 1998 may seem high, but I entered the year with 65% borrowed money against my 35% portfolio equity. So with great stocks like INTC, AMAT, MSFT, CSCO, KLAC and QCOM, I expect to punch back and come close to meeting my greedy goal.

albert, if you were in San Diego I would be glad to give you lessons in investing and getting filthy rich!
brave, but very humble carl
