Jenna:

Would you hold WWW through the earnings report today, or sell? It has been pretty flat in the last week.

In response to the question about PIR, holding it through earnings might be dicey short-term, but it is a great long-term hold (six months or more). What you do depends upon your time frame.

DO.. DO reporting tomorrow 0.40 vers 53 projected.. 21 brokers 1.6 consensus. oils already in upswing today. stochastis oversold going into today.Price IS ABOVE resistance OF 43.75 that is very good. I'm in RIG.. but I still like DO. This post is for you die-hards (including me) that just want to be in on the gains in this sector, so difficult as they are to come by.

XYLN technically strong, earnings after the bell. If earnings is on the upside of Street estimates, should be good for a trade on pullback. Comdex next week should provide a strong setting for networkers, XYLN has neat products.

Jenna, just saw your question about yuri and tklc on skimming the thread (post was not addressed directly to me). Will get back to you later on their longer-term prospects. For earnings plays, I position myself 1-3 weeks earlier based on technicals, market sentiment, and sense of what is in store for the sector/stock in terms of paradigm changes or new products. So a quick read of stocks I don't track may not be too useful.
