Q3 1996 EPS was $1.3 billion, or 74 &#162 / share. I remember this one well, because I had a big position at the time. We are now 6 quarters later, and at $1.3 billion, or 72 &#162 / share (this is lower because INTC is not even buying back enough stock to offset the payroll options program, even though they have all of that "free cash flow" -g-). From the management guidance, it looks like 7 quarters is a cinch. Fortunately, everyone on this thread is holding on for the next 10-15 years, so everything is hunky-dory. ;-)
